When people hear my name, they often think of speed, perseverance, and a bright gold suit flying down an icy track. But behind the helmet, beyond the track, there’s been a deeper journey: one about identity, storytelling, and building your brand with purpose.

As a skeleton athlete, Olympian, and entrepreneur, I’ve learned that branding isn’t just logos or slogans. It’s the soul of your story, and how you share it with the world.

Here’s what you need to know.

Aligning Mission with Message

From the beginning, I knew I wanted to be more than just the “first.” First Ghanaian skeleton athlete or the first West African at the Winter Olympics in that sport. Of course, those titles matter, but they don’t define the whole picture. I wanted to use my platform to inspire others, especially young people who feel like outsiders in the spaces they dream of entering.

When I started launching my own ventures, I made a choice: everything I build has to reflect my mission. I asked myself, “What do I stand for?” The answer was clear: resilience, representation, and the relentless pursuit of goals. That clarity gave me a blueprint. My message and my mission had to match.

So whether I’m sliding headfirst at 80 mph or speaking in front of a crowd, the core doesn’t change. I’m here to show what’s possible when you believe and keep pushing. When you build your brand around purpose, your audience doesn’t just watch—they believe in you.

From the Heart Builds Loyalty

There’s no secret formula to lasting loyalty. People connect with what’s real. They remember how you made them feel. That’s why branding from the heart matters.

When I first stepped into entrepreneurship, I didn’t have a marketing degree. But I had a story—and I shared it. I was vulnerable to setbacks, injuries, racism, and rejection. I celebrated victories, but I never hid the struggle. That honesty built trust. I wasn’t selling products; I was sharing purpose.

As a skeleton athlete, you’re always adjusting. Tracks change. Weather shifts. But your form, your mindset, stays solid. Branding works the same way. Trends evolve, platforms come and go, but when your brand is rooted in who you truly are, you won’t lose your direction. Your community will stay with you because they feel like they’re part of something genuine.

Staying Intentional Every Step

The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Be intentional. Don’t slap your name on something just because you can. Every venture I launch ties back to my story, my heritage, my sport, and my mission to uplift others. That intention shows in the details: how I design, how I post, how I partner.

Empower underserved kids across the globe

Building your brand isn’t about trying to be everything. It’s about being yourself, unapologetically, and inviting others into that journey.

So whether you’re a skeleton athlete, a creative, or someone just starting to dream big—start with purpose. Let it guide your choices. Because when your brand has heart, it lasts.
