I know what it’s like to grow up where dreams are big but resources are small. Long before anyone called me Ghana’s first skeleton athlete, I was a kid just trying to make it through school—sometimes without the books, tools, or support I needed.
That’s why I care so deeply about bridging the education gap. It’s not just about improving grades. It’s about unlocking potential, creating access, and showing young people that they are worthy of success, no matter their zip code.
Show Up, Don’t Show Off
Supporting underserved communities starts with consistency. We need mentorship programs that stick, teachers who understand the fight, and schools that feel like safe spaces. When students are seen and supported, they thrive.
I’ve seen it in action. Whether it’s on the track, in a classroom, or at a workshop—I’ve watched confidence grow when a kid finally realizes, “Hey, I belong here.”
Blend Movement With Mindset
Here’s something I know for sure: physical activity boosts academic focus. When I was training as a skeleton athlete, structure and discipline in sport helped shape my mindset outside of it. Programs that combine movement and academics—whether through sport, arts, or hands-on learning—can give kids a stronger shot at success.
This isn’t just theory. It’s how I went from a sprinter chasing dreams to becoming the first Black skeleton Olympian from Africa. It’s how I discovered my voice, and it’s why I built Frimpong Sportswear—to represent something bigger than just sport. When we connect learning with movement, we take real steps toward bridging the education gap.
Let’s Do More Than Talk
Bridging the education gap means action. It means investment, mentorship, representation, and showing up again and again. These kids don’t need saving—they need support and belief.

This Is Where Belief Becomes Action
I know what it’s like to be overlooked—but I also know what belief can do. From growing up in Ghana to becoming Ghana’s first skeleton athlete, my journey proves that support and opportunity change lives. That’s why I’m committed to bridging the education gap. Visit Frimpong and Hope Of A Billion Foundation to help lift up the next skeleton athlete from Ghana, the next African sprinter, the next young leader ready to rise.
