AI has become part of how many entrepreneurs work, including me. I can use it to organize ideas, research faster, improve communication, and save time. But I keep asking myself an important question: am I using AI as an entrepreneur, or am I slowly allowing AI to make the decisions that should still belong to me?

As an entrepreneur, I have learned that tools can help me move faster, but they cannot replace the reason I started building in the first place.

AI Should Help Me Move Faster, Not Think for Me

I see AI as a tool, not a substitute for judgment. When I am using AI as an entrepreneur, I can use it to brainstorm possibilities, summarize information, organize projects, or help me work through an idea. That gives me more time to focus on the things that require my experience and attention.

My journey as a skeleton athlete taught me something similar. Technology, training equipment, coaching, and data can all support performance, but I still have to make decisions when I am standing at the starting line. I have to trust my preparation, respond to what is happening, and take responsibility for the result.

Business is not that different. AI can give me information, but I still have to decide what matters.

My Story Cannot Be Automated

One thing I never want AI to take away is my voice. My experiences shaped how I think about business, resilience, leadership, and opportunity. Becoming Ghana’s first skeleton Olympian and building businesses taught me lessons that did not come from a software tool.

That matters even more with Hope Of A Billion. My wife and I founded HOAB to encourage and empower children in underserved communities around the world through opportunities connected to sport, business, and education.

When I am using AI as an entrepreneur, I want technology to help me communicate that mission more effectively, not manufacture the mission itself.

Where Do I Draw the Line?

For me, the line becomes clear when AI starts replacing curiosity, relationships, or responsibility. If I let a tool decide what my business should stand for, what my audience should hear, or how I should connect with people, I risk losing something important.

I would rather use AI to handle repetitive work while I spend my energy on people, ideas, decisions, and purpose. Using AI as an entrepreneur should create more room for human thinking, not less.

That is the balance I am still learning. AI can help me build my business, but I want to make sure I am still the one building it.

Whether I’m using AI as an entrepreneur or working directly with young people, I believe technology and opportunity should help people move closer to their potential.

As an entrepreneur and skeleton athlete, I believe people grow when someone believes in them, motivates them, and helps them keep moving forward. I bring that same mindset to helping entrepreneurs find direction, stay motivated, and turn ideas into action.

At Hope Of A Billion, we aim to help children in underserved communities around the world recognize their potential and develop the skills, confidence, and opportunities to become future leaders through our programs.

I’m also deeply honored that our work has been featured on the Olympics’ official Instagram alongside legends and icons including Simone Biles, Usain Bolt, Magic Johnson, Billie Jean King, tennis star Carlos Alcaraz, and others.
