Active wear And Athletic Performance Essentials: Here’s How I Select My Sportswear

One of the most overlooked aspects of athletic performance (be it for skeleton racing or another sport) is the athletic wear required for it. Skeleton racers, in particular, require tight-fitting suits that can reduce wind resistance. They also need to have racing spikes on their shoes for better traction.

When selecting sportswear for my own training sessions, here’s what I value the most.

Durability

Trust me, you don’t want to buy athletic clothing that wears out soon and is in tatters come next season. Buying a cheaper pair of tights or slim-fit shirts may seem like you’re saving a lot, but you’re just adding to your future shopping.

Think about it: would you rather buy expensive but high-quality sportswear apparel that will last you years, or make do with less expensive clothing that would work for a couple of months at best? The former may seem like a big investment, but it’ll also serve you well for the next couple of seasons because of its durability. In contrast, cheaper clothing you find at a regular supermarket or from a lesser-known brand is likely to be low quality and won’t be very durable.

Comfort

You can’t train if you’re wearing uncomfortable clothing. Finding athletic wear that’s comfortable is essential for your performance. The wrong footwear will give you blisters, the wrong clothing will irritate your skin, and instead of focusing on the sports, you’ll spend half your training time fidgeting with your sportswear.

Take my word for it and opt for active wear that allows you to be comfortable in your skin. Wearing comfy clothes instantly boosts your confidence and allows you to stay focused on your goals.

Breathability

Another thing I like to take into consideration is the breathability of the fabric I wear for practice. Trust me when I say this; you do not want to end a training session with a pile of smelly clothes and sweat trickling down your back.

Of course, training for a sport and participating in any physical activity does lead to a lot of sweating. This is exactly why you need to be wearing a breathable fabric that would keep away moisture and won’t leave you feeling sticky during or after a practice session.

With my exclusive Frimpong active wear and Frimpong casual wear line, you can get your hands on high-quality clothes that will help you during your training sessions. The Frimpong store is the ultimate place for athletes and aspiring athletes to buy their sportswear.

From training jackets and down jackets to track pants, I offer it all. And hey, even if you aren’t a professional athlete or an athlete-in-training, you can still dress like one!
