When I reflect on my journey as a skeleton athlete and entrepreneur, I realize that the challenges I’ve faced on ice tracks and in business taught me one thing clearly: talent alone isn’t enough. Opportunity and access matter just as much.
That’s why with Hope Of A Billion, I’ve made it my mission to focus on ensuring access for underserved kids around the world. These children have immense potential, but without the right guidance, mentorship, and resources, their opportunities remain limited. I wanted to create a platform where they could gain the skills and confidence to chase their dreams boldly.
Building Strong Partnerships to Reach Every Child
One of the first steps we took was to build strong partnerships with organizations that already have a presence in underserved communities. These collaborations allow us to reach children who might never otherwise have access to educational programs or extracurricular opportunities.
We focus on programs that teach practical skills, like leadership, problem-solving, and creative thinking. It’s not about giving kids temporary experiences; it’s about equipping them with tools they can carry into their future. By ensuring access for underserved kids, we’re giving them the foundation to make meaningful choices, even when the road ahead feels uncertain.
Making Tough Decisions Without Fear
I also believe in making tough entrepreneurial decisions without fear. When I first started Hope Of A Billion, it wasn’t easy to decide where to invest our limited resources. I had to weigh the potential impact of each program and partnership, always keeping the children at the center of the decision-making. Every choice, every strategy, and every investment is made with a single question in mind: how does this help ensure access for underserved kids? Sometimes that means taking risks and trying new ideas, and other times it means doubling down on proven initiatives that show results.
Mentorship and Real-World Experience
In our programs, we emphasize mentorship and real-world experience. Children from underserved communities learn from professionals, athletes, and leaders who can guide them through challenges and inspire them to aim higher. We’ve seen firsthand how small moments of guidance can transform a child’s confidence and sense of possibility. Every training session, every workshop, every interactive activity is designed to create an environment where kids feel empowered to explore, experiment, and grow.
Believing in Potential and Removing Barriers
At the end of the day, ensuring access for underserved kids isn’t just about creating programs; it’s about believing in their potential and removing barriers that stand in their way. Each child we reach has a story, a dream, and the power to lead in ways the world hasn’t yet imagined.

As a skeleton athlete and entrepreneur, I founded Hope Of A Billion to help children from underserved communities realize their potential and become future leaders. I’m honored to have our work featured on the Olympics’ official Instagram page.
We’re committed to ensuring access for underserved kids through hands-on programs and mentorship. Your support makes this possible.
